Biomateriality and Organizing: Towards an Organizational Perspective on Food

In this introduction to the special issue, we first provide an illustrative overview of how food has been approached in organization studies. We focus on organizing food, that is organizational efforts leverage, shape and transform food. Against backdrop, distinguish agency organizations explore their intersection. argue ‘biomateriality’ i.e. its biomaterial qualities, plays a distinctive role shaping affecting organizations. To do so, present conceptual framework for analysing organizing, which highlights biomateriality agentic effects efforts.
